Industrial cleaning agents are generally used in industries such as steel, metallurgy, electricity, chemical, papermaking, food, pharmaceuticals, and textiles.
Common surfactants used in industrial cleaning agents: cationic surfactants/anionic surfactants/amphoteric surfactants/non-ionic surfactants, generally low-foam cleaners commonly use non-ionic surfactants.
Industrial cleaning agents have roughly gone through the following development periods:
1. Chlorinated solvents (hazardous to human health)
2. Hydrocarbon solvents (require explosion-proof policies)
3. Water-based cleaners using surfactants (high cost of waste liquid treatment)
4. Strong alkaline electrolyzed water produced by strong alkaline electrolyzed water equipment (no chemical substances added, no environmental pressure)
Chemical agents used for industrial dirt cleaning should generally meet the following technical requirements. Cleaners for different cleaning purposes and objects can emphasize or compromise these requirements.
(1) Fast cleaning speed, thorough dissolution of dirt. The cleaner itself has a strong reaction, dispersion, or dissolution ability to dirt, and can remove dirt more thoroughly within a limited construction period.
(2) Damage to the cleaning object should be within the limits permitted by production, and there should be corresponding measures to inhibit corrosion that may be caused to metals.
(3) The reagents used for cleaning should be cheap and readily available, based on domestic production; cleaning costs should be low, without excessive resource consumption.
(4) The cleaner should be non-toxic or low-toxicity to biology and the environment, and the generated waste gas, waste liquid, and waste residue should be able to be treated to meet the requirements of relevant national regulations.
(5) Cleaning conditions should be mild, avoiding reliance on additional strengthening conditions, such as not requiring excessively high demands on temperature, pressure, mechanical energy, etc.
(6) The cleaning process should not leave insoluble substances on the surface of the cleaning object, should not produce new dirt, should not form new layers harmful to subsequent processes, and should not affect product quality.
(7) Should not produce foam and odors that affect the cleaning process and on-site hygiene.
(8) The cleaner should not be flammable or explosive, or pose any potential safety threat to the products or equipment that need to be cleaned.
(9) The cleaner should strive to be phosphorus-free and environmentally friendly, and reduce COD values.
